YOLANDA R. GARCIA
Yolanda R. Garcia, lovingly known as "Yoli" passed away peacefully on November 18, 2025 at the age of 83.
She was the eldest of thirteen siblings, seven brothers and six sisters and naturally stepped into the role of family matriarch whenever her parents were away.
Married at a very young age, "Yoli" endured many hardships, yet her resilience never wavered. She worked tirelessly to provide for her family, holding jobs at Ramirez Minimax, Woolco, and later Wal-mart.
"Yoli" was the heart of many family traditions. She started and carried on the cherished Ramirez Thanksgiving gatherings, which became the cornerstone of family reunions. After her parents passed, she continued their legacy by hosting Good Friday meals, serving beloved dishes like nopalitos, fish, and her famous homemade Capirotada and several other dishes.
"Yoli" was deeply loved by many and will be profoundly missed.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband Lorenzo Garcia who passed away January 27, 1998.
She is survived by her children, Javier (Rossana) Lucio, Daniel (Lucero) Lucio, David (Lucie) Lucio, Sandra (Sergio) Solis, Arnoldo (Glory) Puente and Gilberto Puente.
Grandchildren, Daniel, Ricardo, Jose, +Raulito, Matthew, Sydnie, Javier and J.C.
Her (12) Great-grandchildren.
Numerous Siblings, nieces, nephews, other relatives and countless friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 30, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and a Liturgy of the Word will be officiated at 7:00 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. and San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, December 1, 2025 departing from the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. San Martin De Porres Catholic Church. Committal Service and interment will then follow in the Laredo City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Daniel, Ricardo, Jose, +Raulito, Matthew, Sydnie, Javier and J.C.
Honorary Pallbearer: Jose Ramirez, Javier Ramirez, Rodolfo Ramirez, Fernando Ramirez, Rene Ramirez, Ramiro Ramirez, and Gerardo Ramirez.
